Please make your reservations no later than Monday, September 19th by filling out the insert in Sunday’s bulletin, calling the Church Office at 336-472-7718, or emailing office@mumctville.org.

Nursery Care will be available.

Program Details:

  • Adult Bible Study: Words of Life
Nearly everyone has heard of the Ten Commandments, the list of “thou-shalt-nots” found in the Bible. Jesus saw these commandments not as onerous burdens, but as guideposts to help us experience a good and beautiful life. Join others from Memorial as we take a fresh look at these ancient words. The class will begin on Wednesday, September 21st, at 6:20 p.m. following dinner. Please register for the class by September 25th.  Let us know if you would like a book also.  The books are $25.00.
  • Youth Small Group: 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Children’s Choir: 6:00 – 6:30 p.m.
  • Kid’s Bible Study: 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

Attention All Members & Faithful Friends of Memorial: Mark your calendars for September 19th – 21st, 2022!

A pictorial directory is a powerful tool in our church to help each of us know each other better. Our last directory is now outdated, and it is time for a new one!

Please make an appointment to have your picture taken by clicking HERE or by emailing the church at office@mumctville.org and someone will get back to you. You may also scan the QR code to schedule an appointment.

Every family photographed for the directory will receive a copy of the directory and an 8×10 portrait at no cost. So please, sign-up today!

DONATIONS NEEDED

The Bag Ladies need your help! As you switch your closets from summer to fall, go through your pocketbooks, wallets, totes, etc., please consider donating some to the Alter and Arts annual sale on November 5th at Gifts Galore!

This sale has been a very successful event for our committee for several years as we continue to raise funds to provide costly “things” for our church, replace or refurbish the decorations we use to enhance the church during special holidays, etc.

Thanks in advance for all your support and donations- and remember- we ALWAYS need more people on our committee. We work hard (sometimes) but have fun (all the time)!

ARTS ALIVE ART ACADEMY FALL REGISTRATION

Registration Remains Open for our Fall Semester which begins September 6th.

Music Classes Include:  Piano, Voice, Guitar, Mandolin, Ukulele, Violin, Drums, & Woodwinds.

Art Classes Include: Visual Arts (Younger Students), Adult Painting, Iconography for Adults and Sewing.

If interested in any of the above, please contact Melanie Byerly.

Start or continue your artistic journey with us!

KENTUCKY FLOODS

On July 27-28, Eastern Kentucky experienced historic flooding that has claimed the lives of 37 individuals, with many more still unaccounted for. A series of storms dumped over 16 inches of rain across the area, funneling through the valleys and resulting in catastrophic flooding. Hundreds of homes were destroyed, and hundreds more severely damaged.

Right now, the best way to help is financial. You can always give through Memorial by placing your contribution in the offering plate with UMCOR- Kentucky on the memo line.

GIFTS GALORE

Gifts Galore will be back on November 5th!  This is an excellent day of shopping that helps support local vendors and local charities. There are various crafts, woodworking, leather work, specialty food booths, plus so much more.  You can come by and shop and/or set up a booth.  Either way, it is a great day of fellowship!

We hope to have you join us! If you are interested in having a booth, please contact Marie Carmichael at (336) 476-4625.
