UKRAINE

How to assist the Ukrainian people
The United Methodist community in Ukraine, though quite small, is actively engaged in assisting neighbors in need. Global Ministries is in touch with the church’s leadership as well as with church leaders in countries welcoming those who are fleeing from violence in Ukraine.

If you wish to provide humanitarian assistance to the Ukrainian people in the wake of the Russian invasion of their country you may give a check to the church by marking it “Ukraine”. Your gift will provide direct assistance to those in Ukraine, as well as assistance to Ukrainians fleeing to neighboring countries.

HIDDEN PROMISES – CATERPILLARS TO BUTTERFLIES

A powerful symbol of resurrection, the butterfly is a mesmerizing creation that captures the beauty of God’s creative power. This year, you are invited to see for your
own eyes this transformative power through purchasing caterpillars and raising them to butterflies for an Easter morning release! Don’t worry! It’s simple and plenty of
instructions will be provided. The order forms are in the Narthex for you to fill out.

MISSION BUILDING TEAM

Last December, Tornadoes devastated areas in Tennessee & Western Kentucky. They are making progress in accepting teams to rebuild homes and churches.  We would like to take a team from Memorial to help in the rebuilding.

LENTEN LUNCHES

Lenten Lunches are returning this year! These will take place each Sunday of Lent, immediately following the 11:00 AM worship service. (March 13^th, 20^th, 27^th, April 3^rd, & 10^th)

We will take reservations that will allow for food preparation and to ensure sufficient seating that is safe. Please RSVP to these events by the Wednesday prior to each Sunday.

A/V TEAM OPPORTUNITY

Our A/V team is looking for a couple of individuals to help with our live stream production as a video producer. This is NOT a technical role, and no previous experience is necessary! We will train you in the use of the systems and what our processes are.

You will learn to use the systems that enable us to professionally stream our worship services to Facebook and YouTube. As a video producer, you will run the live stream, managing all aspects such as camera views, images, and sound levels that you want the viewing audience to experience as the service progresses. You can apply your creative eye to the process to maximize the viewing experience for our online audience.

You can get further information and your questions answered from either Philip Hepler or Tim Lyons. You can find one of us on Sunday mornings in the Vannoy Studio outside Jarrett Hall. Come join our team!     

NORWAY EXPEDITION

All children ages 5 and up are invited to join the Expedition!

We’ll explore Norwegian culture on the fun geographic mission study with bible stories, music, games, food, and much more! This four-week Expedition begins February 16th from 6-8 pm. The adventure will embark on the third-floor classrooms. Contact Lynda Hepler to sign up!
