THOMASVILLE EMPTY BOWLS 2022 UPDATE

April 29th, 2022 is the RESCHEDULED DATE for the Empty Bowls Dinner & Silent Auction!

If you are a ticket holder from the 2020 event, your ticket will be exchanged for this new date.
Lost your 2020 Empty Bowls ticket? Don’t worry! We have a list of the 2020 ticket holders.
 
Put the new date on your calendar and watch for updates posted on our Facebook Page regarding the ticket exchange.

UMCOR RESPONSE TO RECENT TORNADOES

The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is on the ground and assessing the damage and providing for the immediate needs of those impacted by the tornadoes last week.  At this time, our most appropriate response is twofold.  We will continue to pray for the folks whose lives were affected by the storms and we can give money to support the relief efforts of UMCOR. Please indicate that your donations are for UMCOR.

Because of our connectional system, 100% of your gift will go directly to help those in need.   As the rebuilding phase begins, we may have the opportunity to take a building team to assist.  Stay tuned.

 

  

RECEPTIONIST NEEDED

We are needing a receptionist to fill a spot on the 4th Tuesday of the month from 12 pm – 3 pm.  No experience is needed; you will receive on-the-job training!

A/V TEAM OPPORTUNITY

Our A/V team is looking for a couple of individuals to help with our live stream production as a video producer. This is NOT a technical role, and no previous experience is necessary! We will train you in the use of the systems and what our processes are. You will learn to use the systems that enable us to professionally stream our worship services to Facebook and YouTube. As a video producer, you will run the live stream, managing all aspects such as camera views, images, and sound levels that you want the viewing audience to experience as the service progresses. You can apply your creative eye to the process to maximize the viewing experience for our online audience.

You can get further information and your questions answered from either Philip Hepler or Tim Lyons. You can find one of us on Sunday mornings in the Vannoy Studio outside Jarrett Hall. Come join our team!
