 Get Advent kicked off with our annual Chrismon Service!  Memorial Youth and Children’s Ministries will lead a service or music, liturgy and explanations of what all of those white and gold ornaments mean that are on the “Christmas Tree” in the sanctuary!  It’s a fun, casual service that will teach you everything you need to know about “Chrismons”!  Stick around for a FREE hotdog supper!  See you there! 

“The Winter Rose”

The Chancel Choir will present “The Winter Rose” by Joseph M. Martin on Sunday, December 3rd at the 11am worship service. The image of Christ as the Rose of Sharon representing the beauty of God’s greatest gift of Love reaches across generations: “The Winter Rose” conveys the story of Christ’s birth through the symbol of the rose expressed through a number of very familiar folk tunes. If you would like to sing with the choir for this presentation, please join us for rehearsal on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00pm

Toy Drive!

CCM CHRISTMAS KID CARDS 

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 26 & DECEMBER 3 

This year our “Christmas Toy Drive” will be through Cooperative Community Minsitries.   

THE PROCEDURE WILL BE DIFFERENT FROM LAST YEAR:  At the CCM SHELVES in the CHRISTIAN ENRICHEMENT CENTER (CEC), PICK A CARD with a child’s name on it.  There will be sizes, gift ideas and needs.  Purchase the items and return them UNWRAPPED with the CHILD’S CARD to the CCM SHELVES (by December 3) and we will make sure everything gets to the proper place.  THANK YOU for your generosity during this season! 

STAR OF BETHLEHEM………Dec. 9 – 10, 2023

The Star of Bethlehem is working its way closer to Memorial Church! It won’t be long before December 9th and 10th will be here! Please encourage your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers to put this event on their calendars and attend. There are more ways you can help get the word out. We have posters (11×17) to be put in businesses, wallet-size cards with ALL of our December events, and flyers that can be distributed to clubs, organizations, etc. If you are willing to help deliver some of this advertising, please call or text Lynda Stone at 336-882-6046 and we will get you the needed items. Let’s all work together and make this Nativity story available to as many people as possible.

UNITED WOMEN IN FAITH CHRISTMAS DINNER

United Women in Faith invite you to their Christmas Dinner Celebration on November 27th in the CEC building at 6:00 PM. Their program is Christmas music by their Children lead by Lynda and Doris. Daelyn Denton will share her beautiful Christmas selections with us. Special Mission Recognition Pins will be presented during this meeting. This is a wonderful way to begin your celebration of Christmas! Please invite a guest; this is a great time to invite new members or visitors. Cost is $10.00. Children in the program and under 12 are free. Please call or text your reservations to Lynda Stone by November 22nd at (336) 882-6046.

Those who volunteer at CCM have realized an increase in clients, as well as in their needs.  All the personal products we previously donated have been distributed. If you could you help alleviate the situation by bringing 1 or 2 personal items to our meeting, that would be greatly appreciated.
