WEDNESDAY NIGHT FELLOWSHIP

Join us Wednesday, May 24th at 5:30 p.m. for our Wednesday Night Fellowship Dinner! Please make your reservations no later than Monday, May 22nd by calling the Church Office at 336-472-7718, filling out the insert in Sunday’s Bulletin, or emailing office@mumctville.org. **If you would like a standing reservation please call the Church Office. If you are unable to attend, please call to cancel your reservation by 12 Noon the Monday prior to dinner. Nursery Care will be available.

Program Details:

  • Adult Bible Study: 6:30 – 7:30 p.m
    • An additional session will be held Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. for those unable to attend on Wednesdays. Adult Bible Study reading for May 24th:
      Acts 2:1-21, Psalm 104:24-34, 1 Cor 12:3-13, and John 7:37-39.
  • Youth Small Group: 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Children’s Choir: 6:00 – 6:30 p.m.
  • Kid’s Bible Study: 6:30 – 7:30 p.m

Wednesday, May 31st will conclude this season of Wednesday Night Dinners, Bible Study, and Children’s programs. These programs will resume in September.

 

VBS – PETS UNLEASHED

PETS UNLEASHED- Where Jesus Cares ‘Fur’ You!
Join Us Friday, June 23rd at 6:30 pm and Saturday, June 24th from 9:00 am – Noon!

We will end the event with a movie on the lawn on Saturday, June 24th at 7:30 pm.

VBS also needs old t-shirts donated to make dog toys for a mission project. Please place your donations in the container outside of Lynda’s office.

FINCH COMMUNITY FESTIVAL

The Finch Community Festival is scheduled for June 23rd-25th. We will be Celebrating Family and Christian Community. There will be activities for the whole family during the entire weekend. Our special speaker will be Tracy Radosevic, a dynamic and internationally acclaimed storyteller. She will share her unique humor, insight, and faith. Community members are invited to participate in Celebrate Life, a special time of singing. More detailed information is to come, but please mark your calendars and plan to bring friends and family!

LIGHTHOUSE CONGREGATION

The Memorial Church Council met on April 25th and chose to become a Lighthouse Congregation of the Western North Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church. In doing so, we are committing to remain part of The United Methodist Church and we will also offer hospitality to those who have lost their church homes through disaffiliation or closure. We will partner in this work by providing a welcoming place, offering ministry opportunities, helping organize remnant groups in our community, and assisting individuals and groups in discerning their next steps as they find a new church home.
