“LEAVE YOUR MARK!” Ceiling Tile Painting

THIS SUNDAY… Come to Youth this week!  We will be painting ceiling tiles for our Youth area (on the second floor of the CEC)!  I will have the ceiling tiles and the paint, all you need is creativity and the willingness to share your talents with us!!!  NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY!!!  The idea is that you decide on an image, a saying, a scripture, anything that provides a positive message for people as they enter our Youth Room!  We hope to see you there!!!

We will eat a little supper, paint a ceiling tile, Hang out with some friends!  See you there!

Supper will be served at 4 PM

We will be done by 6 PM!

ALSO, WE WILL BE RAISING MONEY FOR OUR ASP SUMMER MISSION PROJECT!!!

For anyone planning on going on the trip this summer, just bring a $10 donation AND be here around 10:30 AM to help and set the tables!  CHRIS has a plan to take care of the food prep and cooking!

ALSO, if any youth/adult in the youth ministry (whether you are going on the trip or not) would like to bring a dessert, feel free to do so!  Desserts are always a BIG HIT!  The more the merrier!

CONFIRMATION CLASS

A new “Confirmation Class” is beginning soon!  You can ask questions directly to Rodney if want to join!

CONFIRMATION is a special class to learn and ask questions about the Christian faith!  At the end of the class (at teh end of May) you will even have a chance to get baptized (if you haven’t already taken this step in your faith) and join the church!

YOUTH SPRING RETREAT

YMCA CAMP HANES
$100 PER PERSON

This year’s YOUTH SPRING RETREAT will be held at YMCA CAMP HANES in King, NC!!! It will be open to ALL Youth grades 6-12!  The Theme for this year’s retreat will be based on Matthew 7:7 — “SEEK & YOU WILL FIND”!  There will be other Youth groups from all over the Western NC Conference!

APPALACHIA SERVICE PROJECT

Our Summer Mission Project will be the first week in July and you must be 14 years old or going into the 9th grade to participate!  No experience needed, you don’t even need any special tools!  Its lots of fun and a great way to make new friends and help others too!

SMALL GROUP for HIGH SCHOOL & MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS!

These small groups are designed to be different than our Sunday Night Programs.  Instead of events, service, activities or discussing issues, “Small Group” meets simply to share about how your week is going and to have a few people pray for you and your life.  You will in turn get to pray for others and hear about their week as well.

WHAT DO WE DO?
When you meet you are asked to share 3 questions:
What was the HIGH POINT of your week?
What was the LOW POINT of your week?
Where did you SEE GOD during the week?

HOW DO I JOIN A SMALL GROUP?
