A “SCAR” IS BORN!  SELF-ACCEPTANCE NIGHT!

THIS SUNDAY… There is an old saying that claims that “Scars are just tattoos with better stories!”  This week we will be taking a look at those stories that come with some of our scars AND remind ourselves that those SCARS (the ones that we see and the ones that we can’t see) can be a beautiful and even necessary part of our faith journey if we allow God to help us heal.  Being able to accept ourselves (scars and all) the way God accepts us is a key way to turn a painful event in our lives into a source of strength and so us just how tough we really are!

We will eat a little supper, play a few games, then talk a little about this stuff!!!  See you there!

Supper will be served at 4 PM

We will be done by 6 PM!

CONFIRMATION CLASS

A new “Confirmation Class” is beginning soon!  You can ask questions directly to Rodney if want to join!

CONFIRMATION is a special class to learn and ask questions about the Christian faith!  At the end of the class (at teh end of May) you will even have a chance to get baptized (if you haven’t already taken this step in your faith) and join the church!

YOUTH SPRING RETREAT

YMCA CAMP HANES
$100 PER PERSON

This year’s YOUTH SPRING RETREAT will be held at YMCA CAMP HANES in King, NC!!! It will be open to ALL Youth grades 6-12!  The Theme for this year’s retreat will be based on Matthew 7:7 — “SEEK & YOU WILL FIND”!  There will be other Youth groups from all over the Western NC Conference!

APPALACHIA SERVICE PROJECT

Our Summer Mission Project will be the first week in July and you must be 14 years old or going into the 9th grade to participate!  No experience needed, you don’t even need any special tools!  Its lots of fun and a great way to make new friends and help others too!

SMALL GROUP for HIGH SCHOOL & MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS!

These small groups are designed to be different than our Sunday Night Programs.  Instead of events, service, activities or discussing issues, “Small Group” meets simply to share about how your week is going and to have a few people pray for you and your life.  You will in turn get to pray for others and hear about their week as well.

WHAT DO WE DO?
When you meet you are asked to share 3 questions:
What was the HIGH POINT of your week?
What was the LOW POINT of your week?
Where did you SEE GOD during the week?

HOW DO I JOIN A SMALL GROUP?
