Terry “T.J.” Thomas Register, 49, of Thomasville passed away on the morning of February 11, 2023 while T.J. was sleeping. The Lord looked down on T.J. and said to Terry, son I know you are tired and said to him, come with me and rest.

Terry Jr. had lived a life giving and helping his community wherever that was. It started while in high school by joining and serving proudly with Rescue 32 in his community of Cove City. He was very honored to serve with some of the plank holders of the group. Continuing on he attended NC State University and obtained his master’s degree graduating with honors. Returning home, he started teaching at Ayden Griffin High School. While teaching he joined other Rescue Squads in the area as an instructor. Many lasting friendships were gained and cherished until this day. An opportunity arose in Greensboro to work with Care link as purchasing agent for their equipment including ambulances. He also taught at a local community college and presently was teaching at Thomasville Primary School. Then the crowning achievement of a person’s life.

He and his spouse adopted two young boys (brother’s) that had been through terrible experiences in their short life. More than most could even imagine. The boy’s had five great years with T.J. before he went home with the lord.

T.J. is survived by his spouse, Manius “John” Binkley-Register; sons, Ethan Earl and Dylan Lee; parents, Terry, Sr. and Becky Register; sister, Melissa Russell and husband Buck; nephew, Brooks Russell and mother-in-law, Judy Binkley.
