It is with sadness that we share news of the passing of Loretta Groome, December 18, 2020. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday December 23, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. De Hillyer officiating. Mrs. Groome will lie in state at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville on Tuesday December 22, 2020, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM for members of the community to pay their respects.
In lieu of flowers, a nursing scholarship has been established at Davidson County Community College to assist future nurses with their finances. Memorials may be made for the Loretta Groome Nursing Scholarship at Davidson County Community College, with checks made payable to the DCCC Foundation, PO Box 1287, Lexington, NC 27293.
