WEDNESDAY NIGHT FELLOWSHIP – MARCH 11th

Program: Mission Trip to Guatemala, led by James Carmichael

Join us for dinner this Wednesday, and a program by James Carmichael. Supper is at 5:30 and the program begins at 6:10. The cost for supper is $8/Adult or Youth, with a $20 family cap. Children dining with an adult eat free, and no one will be turned away.

LENTEN LUNCHES AT MUMC

Our Lenten Lunches continue this Sunday, March 8th, with the Fellowship Class hosting. All are invited to join for lunch in the Fellowship Hall at noon, following the 11:00 a.m. worship service. The schedule of hosts for upcoming lunches is:

LENTEN CANNED FOOD DRIVE

NOW THROUGH PALM SUNDAY, APRIL 5

Our annual food drive is in full swing! We need 12,084 cans of food for the giant can to make it from CCM to the altar. The drive ends April 5 on Palm Sunday. Check out our Facebook page for weekly updates on where to find the can in town! As of Thursday Mar. 5, we had collected 206 cans, and the can had moved to the gazebo across from CCM. Keep it going! Donations may be dropped off on Sundays or during the week, Mon.– Thurs. 9-4. Monetary donations also are accepted. Checks should be made to Memorial UMC, with “Lenten Food Drive” in the memo line.

CIRCLE OF LIFE: A SPIRITUAL ART REFLECTION DAY RETREAT

We will play with CIRCLES, MANDALAS, and CIRCLE PRAYERS. We will also experience the traditional Benedictine practice of daily EXAMEN, and will take stock of our life as we prepare to enter the Mystery of Easter. $10 Donation to support the Arts Alive Art Academy. BUTTERFLIES & EASTER LILIES FOR SALE

BUTTERFLIES: Watch your very own caterpillar change into a colorful, lively butterfly!! What better way to experience the expectation and understanding of Easter. It’s easy! You will receive a kit with complete instructions. Butterflies are expected to emerge during Holy Week, and you’re invited to bring your butterflies to church on Easter Sunday for a Butterfly Release Celebration at 10:15 a.m. Pre-order caterpillars now through March 22, and look for the Butterfly Table on Sundays March 22 and 29, where you can buy caterpillars or pick up orders. Cost is $1.50 per caterpillar, with a minimum order of two. Mesh butterfly habitats are available for $6 each.

LILIES can be ordered for Easter in honor of in memory of friends and loved ones. Orders will be taken through Friday April 3rd with the church office. All orders must be in writing. The cost is $12 per lily. Lilies may be picked up following worship service on Easter Sunday.
