The city of Bethlehem will come to life in our parking lot THIS WEEKEND, and the nativity story will be presented once again. A contemporary Lessons and Carols Service will be shared during the 8:50 AM worship service on December 15, in the Sanctuary. Children’s Church will not be held. We hope all children will enjoy this special Advent service.

SUNDAY DECEMBER 15
On Sunday morning, both worship services will be held in the Sanctuary. The 8:50 worship service will be a Contemporary Lessons and Carols service. There is ample parking Sunday morning at Loflin’s Restaurant, and a police officer will be on duty to help you cross Randolph St. You may also park on the street or at the Courthouse. There is no parking in the main lots, except for 10 handicapped accessible spaces. Please do not park at First Presbyterian Church.
LOVE FEAST CANDLELIGHT ADVENT SERVICE
SUNDAY DECEMBER 22
7:00 PM
SANCTUARY
Our annual Love Feast service will be held December 22 at 7:00 PM. This is a special Advent worship service in which we sing Christmas carols, listen to readings from the nativity passage, and partake of the tea and rolls included with an authentic Moravian Love Feast. We will end with a special rendition of “Joy to the World” as candlelight floods the sanctuary and the spirit of Christmas is sure to flood your heart! It is a beautiful and solemn moment during a very busy and often hectic season. All are invited. Bring a friend and join us for this special Advent tradition!
CHRISTMAS EVE COMMUNION
TUESDAY DECEMBER 24
5:30 – 7:30, COME-AND-GO FORMAT
SANCTUARY
We will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the blessing of the Communion elements. Holy Communion will then be offered for all to receive in a come-and-go format until 7:30 p.m. Christmas Eve is a busy time, and this service is intended to create a contemplative space set apart. So arrive when it works best for you, and stay as long as you like, whether to pray or just to be still in the Advent Light. Bring your family and invite a friend and make this a Christmas Eve tradition. We hope to see you and celebrate this beautiful sacrament on the Eve of Christ’s birth.

CELEBRATIONS
CHANGE FOR CHANGE REPORT! Once again, the congregation at Memorial has stepped up. Thanks to you, the children collected close to 13,000 coins AND some significant green bills at the change collection last Sunday, amounting to over $1100 for Cooperative Community Ministry (CCM)! Special thanks to the children who participated, their parents, and especially Katie Conant, who graciously agreed to get the little people into Star of Bethlehem costumes. We hope to do this again in the future, so keep saving those coins! They really add up.
