And tell friends there will be a drop-off bin in the church parking lot Mondays -Thursdays duringLent. Join the effort and feed the hungry!

EXTEND THE INVITATION!

Share the blessing of Memorial United Methodist in March.

During the month of March, extend the invitation to one of our Sunday morning worship services. There are five Sundays in March — 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31.

“Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”   — Philippians 4:8

Who would benefit from the fellowship we share, and a guiding and hopeful message?

Begin to seek the leading of the Holy Spirit. Take a few moments to jot down the name of a friend, relative, neighbor, or associate. Offer them in prayerful consideration.

Think about it…

Remember there was a day when someone…  nurtured you,  invited you, welcomed you, and walked beside you.

Was it a friend, a relative, an associate, or a neighbor?

“…Go out into the roads and lanes,  and compel people to come in,  so that my house may be filled.”     — Matthew 14:23

BUTTERFLIES ARE BACK!!!!

An Easter Gift Your Child (& You!) Will Never Forget
You and your child can watch your very own caterpillar change into a colorful, lively butterfly!! What could be a better way to experience the expectation and understanding of Easter?

Each “Painted Lady” Caterpillar comes with a life-long supply of nutrient and is self-sufficient until the chrysalis stage. Then you simply transfer it to a mesh butterfly habitat. Once caterpillars become butterflies, they should be released within a few days. (Life expectancy from that point is 2-3 weeks.) You will receive a kit with complete instructions. It’s easy!

We will release the butterflies on Easter Sunday, April 21 (weather permitting)!!!

Butterfly Timeline: (This is WAY FUN!!!)

By March 31: Order your butterflies (and houses, if needed) Return order form and payment to the church secretary. Orders will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Sun. April 7: Come to the Butterfly Table in the CEC after either worship service.
Pick up your pre-ordered caterpillars, OR (supplies permitting)  Purchase & pick up caterpillars if you didn’t pre-order.

April 7-21: Watch your caterpillar grow and transform. (All instructions are
provided and it’s easy.)

Easter Sunday, April 21: Bring your butterflies to church for an Easter Butterfly
Release.

PINE NEEDLES ARE COMING…

Week of April 1! Because of the prolific rains, the pine needle sale cannot start before the week of April 1. We apologize for this late date, but it should be okay!
Thank you. — Tom Holladay, Pine Needle Chair
