YOGA CLASSES STARTING BACK

TUESDAYS
5:30 PM
YOUTH ROOMS (2nd FLOOR, CEC)

NEWCOMERS ARE WELCOME! We meet at 5:30 PM on Tuesdays upstairs in the CEC in the High School/Jr. High Room at the top of the stairs. This is a beginner’s class, but generally all levels can be accommodated. The style of yoga taught is Iyengar, so props are used (blocks, blankets, straps, bolsters, chairs) to make the poses more accessible. Emphasis is also on proper alignment to make the poses safe. We have a few extra mats but prefer that you bring your own. The class is canceled occasionally when there is a conflict on the church calendar. Please feel free to join in. Contact Brenda Lyons, the teacher, with questions.

Prayer Vigil for General Conference Meeting on A Way Forward.

A special Prayer Vigil for the called General Conference Meeting on A Way Forward will be held before and during the Special Session in February. The purpose of this vigil is to be in prayer for the General Conference, all of the delegates, for unity of the church, and that we seek to fulfill the mission Christ has given to us. It would not be a time for expressing ideologies but rather a time to come together as the body of Christ praying for God’s will to be done through the work of the Holy Spirit. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend each night at the host church. The delegates covet our prayers as they go to do this work on our behalf. Please look for signs around church.

SOUND TECH NEEDED, NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

We have an opportunity for someone to help with the sound system for contemporary worship. All necessary training will be provided, and you will work with one of the existing techs until you feel comfortable working on your own. You will ultimately be responsible for handling sound duties for practice on Tuesday evening and practice and worship service on Sunday morning. Frequency will average roughly one week per month, but scheduling is very flexible. If you are interested, let’s talk. It’s fun, and you get to work with our awesome band!
