CONFIRMATION CLASS 2018

Well, it’s that time of year again! Our Confirmation Class is getting cranked up here at Memorial UMC. We believe that it will truly be an exciting and fun time to learn and understand more about God and one another.

Confirmation is a time to confirm or “make real” the faith that has been developing in you as a result of being in a Christian community. We hope to include a wide range of activities to make this process a fun and special experience in the life of each “Confirmand”.

We will be requiring a big commitment this year, so be sure that you will be able to attend each class this spring. Enclosed is a full schedule, which we will go over at the FIRST CLASS on FEBRUARY 18. If you have any questions please contact me (472-7718), and thank you very much.
– Rodney

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

ANYONE who has not yet been “confirmed” is invited to participate in Confirmation this year. Confirmation is a time when young people approach a point in their lives when they are able to make personal faith decisions for themselves. With this in mind, we focus on MIDDLE SCHOOL-AGE youth as our main source of participants. However, this does not mean that the class will only be limited to these students. So, if you know a friend who may be interested in this class, but who may not be in Middle School, please encourage them to talk to Rodney about joining this Confirmation Class. Likewise, if there are Middle Schoolers who are not quite ready to make this commitment, we recognize the individual freedom of that decision as well. Finally, it DOES NOT matter if you have been baptized or not! You will find out why during our classes!
