MEMORIAL UMC’s MISSION…
We are CALLED by Christ to
GROW in faith,
BUILD relationships, and
SERVE all people.
STEWARDSHIP FOR 2017
Our church finances are as follows:
Total Expenses as of 08/31/17 $572,292.34
Total Income as of 08/31/17 $511,810.51
Net Deficit as of 08/31/17 ($60,481,83)
Memorial United Methodist encourages the Biblical teaching of the tithe. If the ten percent is too far a reach, consider a percentage increase toward the goal. Your sacrificial gift is greatly appreciated and makes our mission possible to grow in faith, build relationships and serve all people.” “Faithfully they brought in the contributions, the tithes…” II Chronicles 31:12

NEW SERMON SERIES
Stories of Plenty: From Scarcity to Plenty in the Kingdom of God.
“Will there be enough?” It is a question we find ourselves asking daily. Will there be enough money to pay the bills, to send my child to college, to provide for my retirement? In the future will there be enough trust, mercy and hope to go around? In our Lord’s economy there is always plenty. Find out how this is true in this five-week sermon series. Prepare your hearts and minds for each message by following the Daily Journal inserted in the bulletin or available through the church website.
The Girl Scouts Need You
Please save bottle caps of all sizes for a project the Girl Scouts are working on. You can drop them off in the Girl Scout room. Our deadline is October 5th. Thank you for your support.

UPDATE ON OUR FALL BIBLE STUDY
The book is entitled Five Means of Grace: Experiencing Love the Wesleyan Way by Elaine Heath. It is a five week study and will fit neatly into the fall schedule following the Finch Preaching Mission which comes early this year. (October 1-3) I am thinking we will start the second week in October and still be able to end before Thanksgiving. I am eager to get started and I know you are as well. I’ll keep you posted.
