WATER NIGHT & COOKOOUT — re-scheduled!

THIS WEEK:  We may have gotten rained out in June for our annual WATER NIGHT, but this Sunday we will have the giant inflatable water slide, hamburgers & Hotdogs AND all the water balloons!!!  Come to the backyard this Sunday with towel and sunscreen and get ready for some FUN!  We have even invited out little friends from the Children’s Ministry to come and slide with us!

We think we have sent out invites to everyone who gave money toward the trip, but in case we missed someone, HELP US SPREAD THE WORD — let everyone (who supported you in anyway – prayers, money, encouragement — family friends, neighbors) know that they can come and have dinner as thanks for their support! We will debut the video we recorded and you will have an opportunity to share as well!  (it’s free)

MYSTERY NIGHT!

ACOLYTES!!!  HELP!

In case you have never heard the word “ACOLYTE”, an ACOLYTE is the person at the beginning of the worship service that brings in the flame to light the altar candles.  We need some volunteers to light the candles at the 11 AM service!   (the 8:50 AM service does not use Acolytes)  It only takes about 30 minutes to learn how to “ACOLYTE”.  Typically, you sign up for a month (4 Sundays) and then you will be the Acolyte for that month at the 11 AM worship service.  You would need to light the candles at the beginning of the service and put them out at the end.  If this sounds like something you might be interested in, contact Rodney (336) 906-3036 OR Brandy Lambeth (336) 688-6881 for more information!

SMALL GROUP for HIGH SCHOOL & MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS!

SMALL GROUPS WILL MEET AT PELICAN’S SNOBALLS for the SUMMER! (bring a little money for the SnoBalls!)

These small groups are designed to be different than our Sunday Night Programs.  Instead of events, service, activities or discussing issues, “Small Group” meets simply to share about how your week is going and to have a few people pray for you and your life.  You will in turn get to pray for others and hear about their week as well.

WHAT DO WE DO? When you meet you are asked to share 3 questions: What was the HIGH POINT of your week? What was the LOW POINT of your week? Where did you SEE GOD during the week?

HOW DO I JOIN A SMALL GROUP? Its pretty simple, but it is very meaningful to those who attend and you have an open invitation to just SHOW UP and we will guide you to find the perfect fit for you in a small group!  Currently, we have a SMALL GROUP for MIDDLE SCHOOLERS and a SMALL GROUP for HIGH SCHOOLERS (although we are planning to make 2 HIGH SCHOOL GROUPS VERY SOON)
