CHRISTMAS CAROLING!!!

THIS SUNDAY…

THIS SUNDAY… We will be taking our “SHOW” on the road!!! Warm up your singing voice and invite all your friends from chorus, because we are going Christmas Caroling!!!!  We will pay a visit to a few of our church members who love to here young people sing!!!  So, fire up that “Christmas Rotation” playlist and get familiar with some of the songs so you can sing along!  No talent or experience needed!!!

BRING A FRIEND!  (Especially if they are “vocally gifted”)!!!

ALSO… SADIE ANN MCULLOUGH (daughter of Chris & Michaela) will begetting baptized this Sunday at the early (8:50 AM) Service!!!  Come on out and support her as she takes this big step in her walk with God!

ALSO… THE YOUTH CHOIR is singing at this week’s 11 AM service!!!

ALSO… I need two people to ride on our float during the THOMASVILLE CHRISTMAS PARADE (Saturday, December 14)  (ONE will be dressed as a Roman Guard, ONE – could be an adult (so, ask the parents) – dressed as King Herod) Meet at church 9:30 AM, Parade begins at 11 AM, we should be done by 1 PM!

NO “OFFICIAL” YOUTH THIS WEEK!  HOWEVER…If you would like to participate in this year’s Star of Bethlehem Drive-Through Nativity, we would love to include you!!!  We just need to know, so we can have a costume ready for you!!!!

If you would like to participate in this year’s STAR OF BETHLEHEM Live Nativity Experience that we have every year, We need ACTORS!!!  We can use people of ALL ages!!!

Costumes and props will be provided all we need is your time!  If you are able to participate, please contact Rodney (336) 906-3036 OR Tim Lyons (336) 259-6920.  Invite your friends AND your family!!! Even if you can’t participate as an actor, please plan on driving through AND spread the word!!!

We will begin by practicing with the Adult Choir.  We will be preparing a few pieces that we will sing during worship!!!

ACOLYTES!!!  HELP!

In case you have never heard the word “ACOLYTE”, an ACOLYTE is the person at the beginning of the worship service that brings in the flame to light the altar candles.  We need some volunteers to light the candles at the 11 AM service!   (the 8:50 AM service does not use Acolytes)  It only takes about 30 minutes to learn how to “ACOLYTE”.  Typically, you sign up for a month (4 Sundays) and then you will be the Acolyte for that month at the 11 AM worship service.  You would need to light the candles at the beginning of the service and put them out at the end.  If this sounds like something you might be interested in, contact Rodney (336) 906-3036 OR Brandy Lambeth (336) 688-6881 for more information!

SMALL GROUP for HIGH SCHOOL & MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS!

SMALL GROUPS WILL MEET AT MEMORIAL CHURCH (101 Randolph Street)
(6 – 7 PM)

These small groups are designed to be different than our Sunday Night Programs.  Instead of events, service, activities or discussing issues, “Small Group” meets simply to share about how your week is going and to have a few people pray for you and your life.  You will in turn get to pray for others and hear about their week as well.

WHAT DO WE DO? When you meet you are asked to share 3 questions: What was the HIGH POINT of your week? What was the LOW POINT of your week? Where did you SEE GOD during the week?

HOW DO I JOIN A SMALL GROUP? Its pretty simple, but it is very meaningful to those who attend and you have an open invitation to just SHOW UP and we will guide you to find the perfect fit for you in a small group!  Currently, we have a SMALL GROUP for MIDDLE SCHOOLERS and a SMALL GROUP for HIGH SCHOOLERS (although we are planning to make 2 HIGH SCHOOL GROUPS VERY SOON)
