THIS SUNDAY…bring your rakes and/or gas-powered leaf blowers this week!!! because we are going out to play in the leaves!!!!

There are a few folks at our church who could use a little help getting their leaves up this Fall, we are going to do what we do and help them OUT!!  RAKE-N-RUN is a lot of fun and a great way to allow God to use you to help our neighbors!!!

Our annual Thanksgiving Breakfast is quickly approaching!  Every year we serve a breakfast on Thanksgiving morning as an appreciation to the Memorial congregation for all of the support and care that they provide for us throughout the year!

Invite your friends and family, but we need people  to serve the meal AND I will also be looking for some people to help with a short devotion at the end of the meal!

STAR OF BETHLEHEM – HELP!

If you would like to participate in this year’s STAR OF BETHLEHEM Live Nativity Experience that we have every year, We need ACTORS!!!  We can use people of ALL ages!!!

Costumes and props will be provided all we need is your time!  If you are able to participate, please contact Rodney (336) 906-3036 OR Tim Lyons (336) 259-6920.  Invite your friends AND your family!!! Even if you can’t participate as an actor, please plan on driving through AND spread the word!!!

ACOLYTES!!!  HELP!

In case you have never heard the word “ACOLYTE”, an ACOLYTE is the person at the beginning of the worship service that brings in the flame to light the altar candles.  We need some volunteers to light the candles at the 11 AM service!   (the 8:50 AM service does not use Acolytes)  It only takes about 30 minutes to learn how to “ACOLYTE”.  Typically, you sign up for a month (4 Sundays) and then you will be the Acolyte for that month at the 11 AM worship service.  You would need to light the candles at the beginning of the service and put them out at the end.  If this sounds like something you might be interested in, contact Rodney (336) 906-3036 OR Brandy Lambeth (336) 688-6881 for more information!

SMALL GROUP for HIGH SCHOOL & MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS!

SMALL GROUPS WILL MEET AT MEMORIAL CHURCH (101 Randolph Street)
(6 – 7 PM)

These small groups are designed to be different than our Sunday Night Programs.  Instead of events, service, activities or discussing issues, “Small Group” meets simply to share about how your week is going and to have a few people pray for you and your life.  You will in turn get to pray for others and hear about their week as well.

WHAT DO WE DO? When you meet you are asked to share 3 questions: What was the HIGH POINT of your week? What was the LOW POINT of your week? Where did you SEE GOD during the week?

HOW DO I JOIN A SMALL GROUP? Its pretty simple, but it is very meaningful to those who attend and you have an open invitation to just SHOW UP and we will guide you to find the perfect fit for you in a small group!  Currently, we have a SMALL GROUP for MIDDLE SCHOOLERS and a SMALL GROUP for HIGH SCHOOLERS (although we are planning to make 2 HIGH SCHOOL GROUPS VERY SOON)
