LASER TAG!

THIS SUNDAY …we will be heading to Kersey Valley Attractions in Archdale for LASER TAG!!!  This is an OUTDOOR course, so dress accordingly!  (Weather is supposed to be beautiful — 68 & sunny!!!)  Here is the plan fo rthe day:

SCHEDULE
12:00 PM Lunch @ the church
1:00 PM Leave for Kersey Valley
1:30 PM Get checked in, Geared up
2:00 – 4:00 PM LASER TAG!!!
5:00 PM Return to the church!

You do not have to eat lunch with us, BUT you must be at church before 1 PM to go!

$20 per person (WARNING: I only have 40 spaces, I’m not sure if I can add any more.)

ACOLYTES!!!  HELP!

In case you have never heard the word “ACOLYTE”, an ACOLYTE is the person at the beginning of the worship service that brings in the flame to light the altar candles.  We need some volunteers to light the candles at the 11 AM service!   (the 8:50 AM service does not use Acolytes)  It only takes about 30 minutes to learn how to “ACOLYTE”.  Typically, you sign up for a month (4 Sundays) and then you will be the Acolyte for that month at the 11 AM worship service.  You would need to light the candles at the beginning of the service and put them out at the end.  If this sounds like something you might be interested in, contact Rodney (336) 906-3036 OR Brandy Lambeth (336) 688-6881 for more information!

SMALL GROUP for HIGH SCHOOL & MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS!

SMALL GROUPS WILL MEET AT MEMORIAL CHURCH (101 Randolph Street)
(6 – 7 PM)

These small groups are designed to be different than our Sunday Night Programs.  Instead of events, service, activities or discussing issues, “Small Group” meets simply to share about how your week is going and to have a few people pray for you and your life.  You will in turn get to pray for others and hear about their week as well.

WHAT DO WE DO? When you meet you are asked to share 3 questions: What was the HIGH POINT of your week? What was the LOW POINT of your week? Where did you SEE GOD during the week?

HOW DO I JOIN A SMALL GROUP? Its pretty simple, but it is very meaningful to those who attend and you have an open invitation to just SHOW UP and we will guide you to find the perfect fit for you in a small group!  Currently, we have a SMALL GROUP for MIDDLE SCHOOLERS and a SMALL GROUP for HIGH SCHOOLERS (although we are planning to make 2 HIGH SCHOOL GROUPS VERY SOON)
