Leading Through Fog

On Feb. 7, 2025 our church will be hosting a workshop- Leading Through Fog led by Brian Zehr, Dr. Glenn Kinken, and Dr. Pamela Palmer. Bishop Carter will be with us for this special event. Information is now available to learn about this special day and how to register for the event on our church website. This workshop is for Chairs of all major committees, for upcoming young leaders in the church, and any member at Memorial who would like to attend. The registration fee is $30.00. The workshop is hosted by the Forward Together Committee at Memorial UMC. Please avail yourself of this wonderful opportunity. Registration is capped at 120 and is open to any church in the Conference.

Again, this year we invite everyone to help refill the shelves of several of our local charities by participating in our 2nd annual Advent Food Drive. Each day from Dec 1 -24 put an item on the list in a box and then bring to the church reception office the week ‘after’ Christmas. The items will be delivered around Dec 27th. Thank you for helping with this project!

**All items can be purchased for under $40.**

THANKSGIVING BREAKFAST

Thursday, November 28 from 8-9 AM

The Church is invited to have breakfast on Thanksgiving morning with MEMORIAL YOUTH!!!

As a BIG THANK YOU to all of the year-round support and kindness that you show us, the YOUTH Group at MUMC is hosting a (donation-only) breakfast on Thanksgiving morning!

Our ADULTS will be providing various Breakfast Casseroles (among other goodies) & the Youth will lead a short devotion to go along with the theme of the day at 8:45 AM.

There will be plenty of tasty food, so bring a friend!

The UWF Annual Christmas Dinner and Program will be Dec. 2, 2024.

A delicious dinner is planned and a Christmas program will follow. This is always a great way to start this beautiful season. Please bring a friend or your spouse as your guest. Dinner will start at 6:00 PM. Cost is $10.00 per person. All ladies in our church are invited and encouraged to join us and bring a guest! Please contact Lynda Stone to make your reservations by November 27th at 336-882-6046.

Star of Bethlehem

The city of Bethlehem will soon come to life in our parking lot. Before you know it December 14 and 15 will be here and the 2024 drive-thru nativity story will be presented once again. Village people are needed to make Bethlehem the bustling city of old. Saturday and Sunday nights will be from 5:30-8:30 pm.  There will be 45 minute shifts with refreshments in between. This is a really great way for entire families to participate together. You will enjoy the food and fellowship provided for cast members and workers, and most of all the fun of being in the village and a part of this production. If you have previously participated, or are new to this event, please call or email Tim Lyons and let him know of your desire to be in the cast this year.  You may reach him by email at tlyons00@gmail.com or 336-259-6920 by phone.  Volunteer today! Be a part of this free gift to our community.

Neighborhood Trash Pick-Up

Saturday, December 7 at 8 AM

Meet in Upper Parking Lot

As we prepare for all of the visitors that will come to our church during Star of Bethlehem, the Thomasville Christmas Parade and all of the other holiday events, we want to be sure to put our best foot forward!  Come to the church Saturday, December 7 to pick up trash around the church AND in the neighborhood surrounding the church.  Eric Kuppel is organizing this event and will supply trash bags, “grabbers”, and gloves, we just need YOU!  Hope to see you there!
