CHURCH PICNIC

THIS YEAR WE WILL BE AT THE CHURCH! (BACKYARD)

THIS SUNDAY … CHURCH PICNIC!

BRING YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY this week for our annual CHURCH PICNIC! ***This year we will have it here at the church (in the backyard!!!) We will have HAMBURGERS & HOTDOGS and ALL the fixin’s.  We will pull out the volleyball net, basketball in the gym, cornhole, and our awesome playground for the littles!!! come and meet some of the Memorial church people who you may not get to see on Sunday mornings! 

BRING A LAWN CHAIR (we will have extra chairs if you forget)

BRING A DESSERT to share (Don’t let this keep you from coming!) 

BRING A FRIEND! There will be lots of friends attending, but there is always room for MORE!!!

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO SELL PUMPKINS!!!

DAILY SHIFTS are available NOW for October 12-30! This is a fun way to work together to support our church, our community and raise a little money for mission projects!
We need TWO VOLUNTEERS per shift (one must be an adult!).
Pumpkin Patch Hours and Shifts
SUN. HOURS: 1-5 SHIFTS: 1-3, 3-5
M-F. HOURS: 3-8 SHIFTS: 3-5, 5-7
SAT. HOURS: 9-7 SHIFTS: 9-11, 11-1, 1-3, 3-5, 5-7

TRUNK-R-TREAT!!!

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26
6 – 8 PM

This year’s Trunk-r-treat will be Saturday, October 26 (6-8 PM) AND you can help in a couple different ways:

DONATE CANDY!  Next time you are at the grocery store, pick up an extra bag of candy and drop it in one of the bins you can find around the church  We will need as much candy as possible for the HUNDREDS of kids that come out that night!

SPONSOR a “TRUNK”!  You can bring your own Car, Truck, you could even set up a table in our parking lot and hand out candy!  Bring your whole family and dress up!  IF you don’t want to  

ACOLYTES!!!  HELP!

In case you have never heard the word “ACOLYTE”, an ACOLYTE is the person at the beginning of the worship service that brings in the flame to light the altar candles.  We need some volunteers to light the candles at the 11 AM service!   (the 8:50 AM service does not use Acolytes)  It only takes about 30 minutes to learn how to “ACOLYTE”.  Typically, you sign up for a month (4 Sundays) and then you will be the Acolyte for that month at the 11 AM worship service.  You would need to light the candles at the beginning of the service and put them out at the end.  If this sounds like something you might be interested in, contact Rodney (336) 906-3036 OR Brandy Lambeth (336) 688-6881 for more information!

SUNDAYS!!! 10 AM YOUTH ROOM! (Upstairs in the Christian Enrichment Center) Join us for a discussion-based Sunday School Lesson!  No Bible knowledge necessary – Let’s learn together!  Bring a friend!

SMALL GROUP for HIGH SCHOOL & MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS!

SMALL GROUPS WILL MEET AT MEMORIAL CHURCH (101 Randolph Street)
(6 – 7 PM)

These small groups are designed to be different than our Sunday Night Programs.  Instead of events, service, activities or discussing issues, “Small Group” meets simply to share about how your week is going and to have a few people pray for you and your life.  You will in turn get to pray for others and hear about their week as well.

WHAT DO WE DO? When you meet you are asked to share 3 questions: What was the HIGH POINT of your week? What was the LOW POINT of your week? Where did you SEE GOD during the week?

HOW DO I JOIN A SMALL GROUP? Its pretty simple, but it is very meaningful to those who attend and you have an open invitation to just SHOW UP and we will guide you to find the perfect fit for you in a small group!  Currently, we have a SMALL GROUP for MIDDLE SCHOOLERS and a SMALL GROUP for HIGH SCHOOLERS (although we are planning to make 2 HIGH SCHOOL GROUPS VERY SOON)
