ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. Join us as we take a few moments to reflect on our own mortality and sin, and to appreciate God’s redeeming love.

Memorial UMC will be hosting two services:

The first service will be at Noon

The second service will be held at 6:30 PM

Both will include the imposition of ashes.

We look forward to worshiping with you!

CATERPILLARS ARE ON SALE NOW!

A powerful symbol of resurrection, the butterfly is a mesmerizing creation that captures the beauty of God’s creative power. This year, you are invited to see for your own eyes this transformative power through purchasing caterpillars and raising them to butterflies for an Easter morning release! Don’t worry! It’s simple and plenty of instructions will be provided!

All Orders Must be Placed by Sunday, March 5h in order to have the butterflies at the proper stage for an Easter Morning Release! Order forms can be found in the Narthex.

Caterpillars will arrive to the church at the end of March or early April. You will be notified when they are ready for pick up and your prompt response to pick up is necessary as these are live animals and will need immediate TLC. With your love and attention, the caterpillars will transition to through their life cycle before your eyes and will be ready for an Easter release (April 9) no matter where you may be celebrating. Return order forms & payment to the Church Office. Checks payable to MUMC, earmark “butterfly.”

UNITED WOMEN IN FAITH

United Women In Faith’s first General Meeting for 2023 is Monday, February 20th at 6:00 in the Upper Level of the CEC. Please call Lynda Stone at 336 882-6046 to let her know you are coming so we will have enough chips, drinks, and desserts. We ask that you bring a bag supper like we did at one of our meetings last year. Most brought their favorite sandwich. Bring an extra to share with a friend. We will have several extra sandwiches for guest or if you forget.

Attorney Laura Bodenheimer, director of Guardian Ad Litem program in Davidson County will be our speaker. Invite a friend! This is a very important program for children and the elderly! Please try to attend. Ladies new to our church, please join us! Let us know if you need childcare.
