REV. PEGGY FINCH RETIREMENT RECEPTION
SEPTEMBER 19
AFTER 11:00 AM SERVICE
FRONT LAWN at MUMC
We are excited to share with you that a reception to celebrate the retirement of Reverend Peggy Finch has been scheduled. Peggy officially retired in June 2020. However, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Church had to postpone a formal celebration with Peggy until now. Please plan to join us to honor Peggy and her ministry at Memorial on Sunday, September 19 following the 11:00 am service.
In lieu of a love offering, we are requesting that you participate in personalizing a gift that will be presented to Peggy. Please submit a one-sided note recalling a special memory, a word of appreciation, a meaningful picture, or other message that can be included in a memory book. A photo album of the reception activities will also be put together and given to Peggy. These projects are being coordinated by Martha Burrow, Marie Carmichael, and Summer Gordon.
Your submissions for this project are needed by THIS SUNDAY, August 22. Notes and photos can be dropped off in the Receptionist or Church Office or sent electronically to Summer Gordon. There will also be an insert in the bulletin that can be utilized to write a message.

HAITI RELIEF DONATIONS
At this time we are accepting contributions for Haiti Relief and will be sending them to UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief).
• Church members helped to rebuild efforts after the 2010 earthquake that claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of people, including United Methodist workers.
• The United Methodist Committee on Relief is collecting donations and working on the next steps to help the impoverished country, which also faces political unrest, gang violence, and COVID-19.
