ARE WE STILL GOING TO THE FAIR ON SUNDAY???

THIS SUNDAY …  Our plan is/was to attend the Carolina Classic Fair!!!  At this time we will keep that plan in place… HOWEVER, there is a hurricane named “Hurricane Ian” that is forecasted to make landfall in the Gulf of Mexico this week and end up spreading rain over most of the east  coast!  North Carolina is expected to get significant amounts of rainfall on Saturday and Sunday.  NEEDLESS to say, the fair would not be much fun in the rain, so…  I WILL MAKE A DECISION whether or not we will go before Friday and send out an update at that time.  

IF we cancel for this week, we WILL RESCHEDULE for Sunday, October 9!  The reason that I want you to know this is that the fair can be super expensive!!!  I will get GROUP, ADVANCED SALES ADMISSION TICKETS for us that I will make available at a deep discount ($5 per person) HOWEVER, YOU will be responsible for all the other costs: Rides, food, etc.  If you buy ADVANCE RIDE TICKETS: HERE  it is much cheaper than trying to buy them at the fair on the day we go!  IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO THIS, LET ME REPEAT — I WILL HAVE GROUP, ADVANCE SALES ADMISSION TICKETS for our group!!!  (You do not need Entry tickets!!!)

HELP NEEDED: PUMPKIN PATCH!

We need your help this year in our Pumpkin Patch!  The Memorial UMC Pumpkin Patch has been a community icon for more than 17 years, and every year we rely on church volunteers to help staff the “Patch”.  Its fun and great way to meet new people and welcome people to our church!!!!  THIS YEAR the Youth Group & ASP participants will get to help sell pumpkins!  There will be a sign up created so that YOU and your family can reserve your spot!!!  I encourage you to sign up for 2 slots (if possible so that we can cover the entire time!

SMALL GROUP for HIGH SCHOOL & MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS!

These small groups are designed to be different than our Sunday Night Programs.  Instead of events, service, activities or discussing issues, “Small Group” meets simply to share about how your week is going and to have a few people pray for you and your life.  You will in turn get to pray for others and hear about their week as well.

WHAT DO WE DO?
When you meet you are asked to share 3 questions:
What was the HIGH POINT of your week?
What was the LOW POINT of your week?
Where did you SEE GOD during the week?

HOW DO I JOIN A SMALL GROUP?
