Available in the MAIN SANCTUARY for those who are comfortable and would prefer to do so. Every effort has been made to provide a safe environment for our IN-PERSON WORSHIP service. It also is essential for us to continue to adhere to our safety practices.

What to Expect at Indoor, In-Person Worship

  • Access to the Sanctuary is through the RANDOLPH STREET ENTRANCE only.  The designated entrance for those needing the ELEVATOR will be the entrance at the Breezeway.
  • You’ll be greeted upon entering the church and asked a few COVID-RELATED QUESTIONS.
  • FACE MASKS will be required for everyone.
  • Some pews will be blocked to maintain SOCIAL DISTANCING; an usher will help direct you.
  • Out of respect for others, please refrain from SHAKING HANDS or HUGGING.
  • OFFERING PLATES will be available at the entrance and exit of the sanctuary.

GENERAL GATHERING ZOOM INSTRUCTIONS

Please join us for our May Gathering on Zoom on Saturday, May 15,
12 – 1 PM.  This month we will have our Call to Prayer and Self-Denial
Program 2021 titled “She Leads: Empowering Women to Make a Difference.”

Our hands on project this month will be to collect a love offering to go
towards gift cards for the Bethlehem Center, Winston-Salem.  Please send the

MISSION PROJECT

We are collecting cleaning supplies for our year-long mission project for
CCM.  Please place your cleaning supplies in the red bin in the
Library/Heritage Room.  We are making cleaning supply buckets for CCM.

RECITALS

SUMMER SESSION BEGINS

RECITALS:

Recital dates are: Saturday – May 22 and Monday – May 24 thru Thursday – May 27 for students who have been enrolled since January of this year.
Regular lesson schedules will end on Thursday, May 20th in order for Recitals to take place the following week.
Confirmation of times & dates will be emailed to you soon.

END OF SEMESTER:

This semester will end following recitals at the end of this month.
We hope all students will remain for the summer semester. Please see attached flyer for summer information.
All lesson schedules do not carry over into the summer. You must register a new day & time for summer lessons. (see flyer HERE)

SUMMER LESSONS:

Begin on Tuesday – June 15 thru August 19, 2021
Lesson Days available are Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays.
Summer 6-Pack of Lessons are very flexible. Choose 6 lessons to spread out over the summer months when you’re in town.
It’s so important to keep the student moving forward with their lessons during summer so as not to loose their momentum.
Otherwise, it’s like starting all over when they return in the fall.
There is NO registration fee!

POP-UP FOOD PANTRY

We are honored to host a Cooperative Community Ministry (CCM) event: Their ALL-NEW POP-UP FOOD PANTRY!!!

The Memorial United Methodist Church will be the site for an all new form of community food box distribution for CCM.  On Thursday, May 20, between 2 and 4 PM, boxes of food from Cooperative Community Ministry will be distributed to families in our community who are in need.  Please spread the word and pray for this exciting opportunity for CCM, Memorial and the Thomasville Community!

Summer Art Camp Registration is NOW OPEN!

One week only: August 2nd-6th, 9am-3pm daily. 

Cost is: $75 per child.

Camp is for 1st grade through rising 6th grade students.

We are offering new classes in visual arts, creative movement/music, & videography! Register early, space is limited to 24 students this year due to Covid.

MISSION POSSIBLE KIDS is dedicated to empowering kids to change the world by helping others.

During our most recent mission, our chapter of nine agents in Thomasville, NC prepared 120 eyeglasses and sunglasses, for the people of Guatemala and made nine Mission Activity Cards for the kids receiving glasses. We are happy that our kids could play a role in your work of giving the gift of good vision to others. Thank you for your support!
