WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY…

JOIN US at…
8:50 AM    AWAKEN WORSHIP
11:00 AM  WORSHIP SERVICE*
*SPECIAL WORSHIP NOTE:  The 11 AM worship service will BEGIN OUTSIDE, on the front lawn of the church.  We are asking those who are able to assemble on the front lawn and we will Process into the sanctuary, singing the hymn, “Christ the Lord Is Risen Today”. THIS IS AN INDOOR SERVICE.  We will only be outside prior to the start of the service.  We will adhere to proper distancing and masking while singing, then proceed inside the sanctuary for the remainder of the service.

VIRTUAL WORSHIP RESOURCES:

“IN PERSON” WORSHIP:

Available in the MAIN SANCTUARY for those who are comfortable and would prefer to do so. Every effort has been made to provide a safe environment for our IN-PERSON WORSHIP service. It also is essential for us to continue to adhere to our safety practices.

What to Expect at Indoor, In-Person Worship

  • Access to the Sanctuary is through the RANDOLPH STREET ENTRANCE only.  The designated entrance for those needing the ELEVATOR will be the entrance at the Breezeway.
  • You’ll be greeted upon entering the church and asked a few COVID-RELATED QUESTIONS.
  • FACE MASKS will be required for everyone.
  • Some pews will be blocked to maintain SOCIAL DISTANCING; an usher will help direct you.
  • Out of respect for others, please refrain from SHAKING HANDS or HUGGING.
  • OFFERING PLATES will be available at the entrance and exit of the sanctuary.
  • No NURSERY staff will be present, but the nursery space will be available.
  • SUNDAY SCHOOL will not be offered in-person at this time.

THOMASVILLE CROSSWALK 2021

FRIDAY, APRIL 2
11 AM
BEGINS: MEMORIAL UMC
ENDS: BROWN-NEW CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH

The Thomasville Community CrossWalk will BEGIN at MEMORIAL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH (101 Randolph Street) at 11 AM and we will carry/drag a solid, 8-foot wooden Cross to the END at BROWN NEW CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH (200 Doak Street).  Church representatives from the community will do readings along the way to remind us of the journey that Jesus took on Good Friday leading up to his death on the cross.  Brown New Calvary has gracious agreed to follow the procession with their bus for people who cannot make the entire trip AND for people who need a ride back to the church after the CrossWalk concludes.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the unusual circumstances surrounding this year’s CrossWalk, we are asking that walkers wear a face covering and social distance themselves as much as possible. Since we will be completely outside, we feel like we will be able to offer a safe environment if these precautions are followed.

TENEBRAE SERVICE

FRIDAY, APRIL 2
7 PM
MAIN SANCTUARY

The Service of Tenebrae is a worship service, celebrated on Good Friday that recounts the 7 last words (phrases) Christ spoke before he died on the Cross.  It is a service of readings and music with the use of dramatic lighting, darkness and candles and it is sure to inspire you and prepare you for Easter Sunday!

Please join us!
