RAKE & RUN

THIS SUNDAY… bring your rakes and/or GAS-POWERED leaf blowers, because we are going out to play in the leaves!!!!

There are a few folks at our church who could use a little help getting their leaves up this Fall and although some leaves still in the trees, we are going to help out as much as we can!  This is a lot of fun and a great way to allow God to use you for a greater good!!!

I will serve you lunch at the church at 12 NOON, then we will head out for the afternoon.  We will return by 5 PM!  I am even trying to work out a special surprise for one of the stops, I promise it will be worth your time this week!!!

THANKSGIVING BREAKFAST

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 28
8 – 9 AM
FELLOWSHIP HALL

FOR YOUTH PARTICIPANTS:
6:30 AM – cooks arrive
7:00 AM – servers arrive
8:00 AM – breakfast begins
8:45 AM – devotion 
9:00 AM – breakfast is over!

​We offer a free (donations are accepted) breakfast on Thanksgiving morning to the entire church!!!  This is a way to be appreciative to the church for all the support that they provide for us all year long.  Although we have all of the Kitchen spots filled at this point we can always use more people to help keep coffee & Juice cups filled!  If you aren’t sure if you can make it early to serve, be sure to invite your family and friends to come and start out this grateful day with a great breakfast!!!  See you there!

CHRISMON SERVICE

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 1
4 PM REHEARSAL
5 PM SERVICE
6 PM HOT DOG SUPPER (for everyone)

If  you have volunteered to do a reading for this very special worship service, we want to keep things sort of simple, so I am asking all participants to wear Black, White and/or Khaki.  The official service starts at 5 PM, you and your entire family are invited to come and be a part of our service where we light of the Chrismon Tree and also learn a little about the different ornaments (called “Chrismons” or “CHRISt MONograms” because they all remind us of Jesus) found on the tree! Then afterwards, everyone is invited to go over to the CEC for a hot dog supper!  Invite your friends and family, it will be lots of fun!

“STAR OF BETHLEHEM”: Drive-Thru Nativity

(Yeah, its the one that we called “Journey to Bethlehem” last year, but that name was being used by another church, so this is the “new and improved” name)

SET UP for this event will be SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8, beginning around 2 PM.  If you can help, please do!!!  Otherwise, we still need people to participate and you and your whole family can sign up by contacting TIM LYONS (336) 259-6920.  It’s a lot of fun and you can serve the church too!  We currently need LOTS of “village people”!
