Our Finch Preaching Mission preacher is Mike Slaughter, pastor emeritus and global church ambassador for Ginghamsburg Church, and author of Made for a Miracle and Revolutionary Kingdom.

Mike’s life-long passion to reach the lost and set the oppressed free has now made him a tireless and leading advocate for the children, women, and men of Darfur, Sudan, once named by the U.N. as the worst humanitarian crisis in the world. Mike’s call to afflict the comfortable and comfort the afflicted challenges Jesus followers to wrestle with God and their God-destinies.

Proceeds from the event will benefit  Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now) and Empty Bowls. Since it’s October, it wouldn’t be complete without pumpkins, treats, photo-ops, live music, and lots of laughter! We encourage kids of all ages to wear Halloween/Fall Festival costumes. For more information and to register to participate or just be Proud in the Crowd, visit https://runsignup.com/Race/NC/Thomasville/HarvestHope5k. Keep an eye on the MUMC Facebook page for updates!
