BAKE SALE JULY 21!

Locate your favorite recipes for the upcoming church-wide bake sale July 21 at Thomasville Farmers Market (corner of Guilford and Commerce Streets, at the downtown water tower). UMW is sponsoring the sale, but we need as many folks as possible to participate. Items that sell well include pies, cakes, muffins, breads of all types, seasonal baked goods, cookies, granola, and ham and sausage biscuits. All proceeds directly benefit missions and programs for children and families. Bring baked goods to the Boy Scout Rm. (10am -12) or to the home of Sara Faulkner (12- 6pm) on Friday July 20.  Please spread the word! For more information, contact Sara Faulkner.

UMW SUMMER CELEBRATION BRUNCH JULY 28

The United Methodist Women will have their Summer Celebration Brunch on Sat. July 28, 10 am- 12 noon in the R.L. Pope classroom. All women of the church are invited! Representatives from the Thomasville Police Department will speak about the opioid situation in Thomasville as we continue our study about addiction and how it affects women and children in our community.

Please continue to collect toiletries and feminine products for CCM and give those to your Circle Leader. For our Hands on Project at this Gathering, we are collecting supplies for Hope Thompson at Tristan’s Haven. They need items such as paper towels, toilet tissue, and hand soap. Hope spoke at our Gathering on May 14th.

Brunch will be provided, and the cost is $6.00. Please send your reservation by July 21st to Lynda Stone by phone at 336-882-6046 or by email at lyndamstone@gmail.com. Transportation is available, and childcare will be provided; please notify Lynda of your needs when you RSVP.

Thank you!    — Cheryl Herman

A NOTE FROM ANN WORSHAM TO THE CONGREGATION

Members of Memorial United Methodist Church –

I am truly blessed by all the love and support I have received since my diagnosis of cancer. Thank you for the support, love, cards, food, goodies, calls, and prayers during this difficult challenge I am facing.

May the Lord continue to bless each one of you. And may I continue to ask for prayers of strength during this time.

Much love –
Ann Worsham & Family
