SEND YOUR KIDS ON AN IMPACTING ISLAND ADVENTURE!

At Shipwrecked VBS, kids discover how Jesus rescues us through life’s storms. Shipwrecked is filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences kids see, hear, touch, and even taste! Sciency-Fun Gizmos™, team-building games, cool Bible songs, and tasty treats are just a few of the standout activities that help faith flow into real life. Plus, we’ll help kids discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life—something we call God Sightings. Get ready to hear that phrase a lot! Your kids will also participate in a hands-on mission project, through a program called Operation Kid-to-Kid™, that will provide seeds for families in Haiti to grow food.

So mark these dates on your calendar: June 18-20, 2018 with a registration kickoff event Sun. Jun 17th from 4:30-7pm. The fun starts at 6:00pm each night (M-W) and will end at 9:00pm

JAZZ IN JUNE AT WEST MARKET STREET

TUESDAYS IN JUNE @ NOON
June 5, 12, 19, and 26    12-1 PM
WEST MARKET CHURCH, GREENSBORO

If you’re going to be in Greensboro in June, consider including the Tuesday lunchtime Jazz in June Worship Services in your plans. This longstanding summer tradition at West Market Church offers a 30-minute lunchtime worship service mid-day, early mid-week. The worship liturgy is familiar and includes a brief meditation led by the pastor, often with the musical support of the instrumental trio. The chancel choir and trio also lead those who are gathered in well-loved hymns, in very singable, original arrangements that appeal across generations. The services are held in the Leak Chapel at West Market, which is entered from the side street, John Wesley Way.

PILOT POINT SUMMER LITERACY CAMP VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Pilot Point is open to students who have completed kindergarten through third grade in cooperation with schools in Davidson County.

Pray without ceasing and then visit our volunteer fair to see how you can make a difference!

Your schedule already overloaded…
Not sure what special skills you have to offer…

~Can’t imagine how this program will ever work,
But can you pray for those who are focused on seeing it succeed?
~Can’t believe that some kids need this type of program,
But can you imagine living in a home where your parents can’t read?
~Can’t donate money or help with fundraising,
But can you donate your time?
~Can’t commit to being a reading partner,
But can you offer a friendly, smiling face & encouragement?
~Can’t commit to cooking & serving meals,
But can you donate food to be prepared by the hands of others?
~Can’t be off during the day,
But can you help any with our Monday family nights?
~Can’t do crafts or help with recreation,
But can you help supervise a nature walk?

“Everybody can be great… because anybody can serve.
You don’t have to have a college degree to serve.
You don’t have to make your subject & verb agree to serve.
You only need a heart full of grace.  A soul generated by love.”
~Martin Luther King Jr.

Pilot Point Summer Literacy Camp is made possible through a grant from The Duke Endowment, the Yadkin Valley Congregational Vitality Team, and gifts from faithful United Methodists.
