YOUTH COUNCIL PLANNING MEETING

POOL PARTY & 6th GRADER KIDNAPPING!!!
5 – 9 PM
THIS WEEK we will meet at the church and as a way of “welcoming” our incoming 6th graders, we will go out and KIDNAP them and take them to FOUNDER’S POOL for a Pool Party!
5 PM – Be at the church and we will go pick up our 11 newest Youth Group members!!! They are new, so it is important to help them feel welcome! We can be a little overwhelming at first, so take an opportunity in the van to say hey and introduce yourself!
6:30 PM We will take a few moments at the pool before we swim to EAT SOME SUPPER (that’s right, supper is BACK!!!) and INTRODUCE OUR 6TH GRADERS to the group!
7 PM FINALLY, we will swim, play in the water and have a fun time at FOUNDER’S POOL!
We will have food and fun, we just need you and your friends to come and join us! Its a great way to get back in the Youth routine after a very busy summer!
BY THE WAY, I know that school is MONDAY and you may want to get as much BEAUTY SLEEP as possible, so…
We have the pool until 9 PM, but PARENTS/RIDES can pick you up before 9 PM at FOUNDER’S POOL or at MEMORIAL UMC at 9:15 PM.
IF you know of any 6th grader that we need to kidnap (I have already contacted everyone on my list, but there is always room for MORE!), please let me know so I can arrange things with their parents!

Our new friends from Jersey are currently on vacation right now, but they will be back for ONE NIGHT before they return to their home. Let’s send them off with our very special brand of hospitality! Be at the church on Tuesday, August 29 at 6 PM and we will take themn to get something to eat and hang out with them one last time before they go!
