R.L. Pope Bible Class is a class of about 58 members that includes male, female couples and older adults. Our Sunday school class has been on the radio each Sunday for many years. If you are unable to attended you can tune into WBLO 790am each Sunday morning and be a part of our radio ministry. We enjoy singing the old hymns from the Cokesbury Hymnal lead by our song leader.
Our teachers are made up of our Sunday School Class and also we enjoy teachers from our surrounding cities that teach on a regular basis. We use the Adult bible quarterly that is bible based, Christ focused and is a Methodist approved curriculum.
We meet each Sunday in the Christian Enrichment Center in the R.L. Pope Classroom at 10:00 am until 10:30am. We do have a group picture it is not digital. Our class President is Ann Whitten and she can be contacted at awhitten@hprhs.com

Sunday Morning Circle Sunday School Class (Ginger Cranford/Janet Smith)
The Sunday Morning Circle is a Sunday School Class and a UMW circle.
We are a group of ladies meeting on Sunday mornings at 10:00 in the church library. We try to finish the lesson around 10:30 so choir members can go to choir without missing the lesson. We then take a few minutes for UMW business and we try to be finished by 10:45.
We range in age from young adult to past retirement age, but we are all young at heart. Our average attendance is between 10-15.
Beth Rowe-West is our usual teacher. She reviews the study literature with us & then involves the class in group discussion. We study a wide variety of topics. Beth usually leads us through at least one of the United Methodist Women's study books each year. We also study current trends in the church and how world events affect the church and how the church is called to respond to these events, locally and globally. We have participated in lessons using the Nooma DVD series and Mickey Efird's Bible Study Series on The Birth narratives and the Passion Narratives. Our class decides which book or topic we want to study. We are always looking for interesting and relevant material. Because we are a UMW circle, we support the projects and causes of the UMW. The UMW Reading Program materials are located in our class space. We support and visit our special friends at Piedmont Crossing.
We take an offering each week that we use in a variety of causes, including a monthly Angel Food box donation, sponsoring a week of summer day camp for a child at the YMCA, and providing funds for many other mission projects. We also participate in The UMW's "hands-on" projects by bringing food or supplies for designated mission projects through out the year.
We don't have formal events or outings, but we do support each other in our times of need and times of joy. We are a warm group of women who enjoy being together while leaning how to be better people in God's world. We welcome any visitors. If you are already a member of another circle, you can still be a part of our Sunday School Class, without giving up your circle.
To find out more about this class you may contact either of the co-leaders of the circle.

Fellowship Sunday School Class (Bonnie Craig/James Carmichael)
The Fellowship Sunday School Class meets on the third floor of the main building in Room ???? during the regular Sunday School hour (9:45 - 10:45). Generally a social time and class business is taken care of first with the lesson beginning around 10:00. Members of the class decide on the curriculum which is most often the Adult Bible Studies literature. During the summer and special seasons, other short studies may be used. Several members volunteer to teach on a rotating basis with the format being of a discussion nature.
The Fellowship Class is a medium sized class consisting of couples and singles who are generally forty years old and older. This class is mission-minded with members being very involved in all aspects of Memorial’s church life. As its name implies, fellowship is a key aspect of this class. At least quarterly, members gather for fellowship and to experience a number of activities such as bicycling, game nights, picnics and going out to eat. Potential members of any age are welcomed to join.
For more information regarding the Fellowship Class please contact either of the co-presidents who are Bick Craig at bickbonnie@northstate.net or James Carmichael at tcsdir@aol.com.

Koinonia Sunday School Class (Chris Herrick)
The Koinonia Class seeks to study the Word of God, applying lessons in our daily living, in service to Him, in raising our families, and in showing God’s love to those we touch every day. We also share our joys and concerns with each other so that we can enjoy God's gift of fellowship and support.
Members of the Koinonia Class are generally in the age range of 35-55 with school-age through College-age children. We are a mixed class of single and married individuals with a membership size averaging up to approximately 20.
We use a combination of an Adult Bible Study series and weekly contemporary topics addressed in Faithlink, both published by the United Methodist Church. The leader decides the topic to be discussed each Sunday.
Responsibility for leading discussion is rotated each week among volunteers. The Koinonia Class meets in the main church building on the second floor in the Parlor (next to the suite of church offices) Class begins on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. and ends by 10:45 a.m.
Class members contribute each week to a fund which supports the purchase of an Angel Food Box for the local Cooperative Community Ministry on a monthly basis.
Twice a year, class members are responsible for cooking and serving a meal at Cooperative Community Ministry At least twice a year, we plan a social gathering for either the whole family or just the adults at a class member's home. We often enjoy a meal together at a local restaurant following church on Sunday. Christine Herrick, 476-5580, ncbones@aol.com
