THANKSGIVING BREAKFAST

THURSDAY NOVEMBER 28

FELLOWSHIP HALL

The Memorial Youth want to thank our church for all that you do for us throughout the year! It is because of your prayers, time, and financial gifts that we are able to go on retreats, participate in service projects, and invite our friends to the church to play games and learn about God. We are thankful for how you give to us, and this breakfast is a small way that we can give back to you! The Breakfast is by donation only. Please stay for a brief devotion at 8:45 to help us focus on being thankful on this special day! We hope to see you and look forward to showing you our gratitude!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

CELEBRATIONS

A lot has been happening this fall at Memorial and there is much to celebrate! Numbers don’t tell the whole story, but take a moment to reflect on the impact of these figures:

  • The Thomasville High School football team was served three of their pregame meals at Memorial UMC this fall.
  • The Finch Preaching Mission love offering for Cooperative Community Ministry (CCM) was $1,682.
  • Over 70 volunteers and runners/walkers participated in the first annual Harvest Hope 5K, and over $2,200 was raised for Empty Bowls and Rise Against Hunger.
  • Our church picnic last Sunday fulfilled its promises of good food, good fun, and good fellowship at Sonny and Charlesanna Koontz’s farm.
  • Around 200 children were treated to spirited fun and candy at our (indoor) Trunk or Treat event this past week.
  • Pumpkin sales are still being tallied, but we already know we closed out with one of our most successful seasons ever.

STAR OF BETHLEHEM

DEC. 14, 6-9 PM
DEC. 15, 5-8 PM

Star of Bethlehem … a new name and new times this year. All the beautiful settings and costumes, the camels and all the animals, the marketplace, and more are ready to go. This is an awesome event that will take place Saturday December 14,  6:00-9:00 pm, and Sunday December 15, 5:00-8:00 pm. Now we need people to fill the settings and marketplace. Leslie Gibbs and Tim Lamb will be calling on folks to be a part of the cast to make this production a success. If you have done this before, you know how rewarding it is for everyone. Contact Leslie (336-880-1600, gibbsleslie12@ gmail.com) or Tim (336-880-5048, tlamb5@triad.com) to be part of Star of Bethlehem.
