HELPING SET UP JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM & CHRISMON SERVICE
THIS WEEK... before the Chrismon Service, we will be helping set up for Journey To Bethlehem. Arrive at the church at 2 PM to help! Then at 4 PM we will begin practicing for the Chrismon Service. If you have volunteered to do a reading for this very special worship service, be sure to wear Black, White and/or Khaki. The official service starts at 5 PM, you and your entire family are invited to come and be a part of our lighting of the Chrismon Tree and also learn a little about the different ornaments (called “Chrismons” or “CHRISt MONograms” because they all remind us of Jesus) found on the tree! Then afterwards, everyone is invited to go over to the CEC for a hot dog supper! Invite your friends and family, it will be lots of fun!!!

ALSO… If you are interested in participating in our JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM this year, we still need people and you can sign up by contacting TIM LYONS (336) 259-6920. It’s a lot of fun and you can serve the church too! We currently need LOTS of “village people”! Thank You!
SMALL GROUPS!
So, for the last few years we have had steady growth in our “Youth Small Group” ministry. Some of you may not be aware, but we have a few small groups that meet on Wednesdays at 6 PM (they usually end around 7 PM) at the church. These small groups are designed to be different than our Sunday Night Programs. Instead of wild activities or discussing issues, Small Groups meet simply to share about how your week is going and to have a few people pray for you and your life. You will in turn get to pray for others and hear about their week as well. Small Groups are made up of 8 -12 people and you can become a part of one at anytime.
WHAT DO WE DO?
When you meet you are asked to share 3 questions:
What was the HIGH POINT of your week?
What was the LOW POINT of your week?
Where did you see GOD during the week?
HOW DO I JOIN A SMALL GROUP?
Its pretty simple, but it is very meaningful to those who attend and you have an invitation to join a small group as well. The Fall Small Groups begin WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12 at 6 PM. Contact Rodney and he will help you find the perfect fit for you in a small group! Hope to see you there!
