ARTS ALIVE ART ACADEMY: SUMMER SESSION

ADDITIVE SCULPTING CLASS
JUNE 20 – JULY 25
10 AM – 12 PM
There will be 6 different sessions, beginning Tuesday June 20, and will end on July 25. These classes will be from 10am – noon. I know that one of the classes will land on July 4, if this date does not work for most of the class, then we can find a day that week that will work best.
These sessions are open to 4th grade age all the way to adult. Since this is a special class, we will keep everyone together.
Each session will be $25
There will be a one time only materials fee, which is $20. This fee will cover the cost of clay, wire, and other materials that will be needed for these sessions.
If you know that you will be able to attend every session, the total cost will be $170 (materials fee included)
The summer sessions will be focusing on the art of Additive Sculpture. These sculptures will take the whole summer, however if a student cannot make every session, that will be fine. You only pay for the sessions that are attended.
If you have any comments, questions, concerns, or wish to sign up for the class please feel free to email me here at
If you have any questions about how to pay, please email or call Brian Russell at
Hope to see you there!
Peace, love, &soul,
Amber Huskins

United Methodist Women Bake Sale

Saturday, July 8, 2017
Thomasville Farmers Market

CALLING ALL COOKS…

The United Methodist Women will sponsor a bake sale at the Thomasville Farmers Market on Saturday, July 8, from 8 AM – 12 Noon.

The Farmers Market is located at the corner of Commerce and West Guilford Streets in downtown Thomasville.

We need the help of all church members to make the bake sale a success. A suggested list of baked goods includes: muffins, coffee cakes, breads, ham and sausage biscuits, cakes, pies, brownies, cookies and bar cookies, granola, fruit pies and cobblers. Baked goods can be brought to the CEC on Friday, July 7, between the hours of 10 AM – 12 Noon or to Sara Faulkner’s house Friday afternoon.

Proceeds from the sale benefit UMW mission projects. Volunteers are needed on the day of the bake sale, also. Contact Sara Faulkner for more information. Your support is appreciated!

TRASH & TREASURE SALE COLLECTION

The 2016 Trash and Treasure will be on August 26.

We hope you are saving your Treasures for the sale. The community looks forward to this event. We do hope you can wait until the week of the sale to bring your items, so they do not have to be moved twice. We do have limited space for storage but that needs to be held for sources outside the church. Drop off your items Monday through Friday, from 9-5, August 21-25.

PLEASE, NO…
…old TV’s-No Tubes
